How to enjoy your candles longer
Split
Today I would like to give you a few simple tips so that you can enjoy your candles for a long time:
- First of all: Please never leave your candles unattended when they are lit and always keep them out of the reach of children
- Stand the candle upright in a candlestick or on a fireproof trivet
- Wax melts very quickly if the heat is too high. Therefore, do not place the candles in direct sunlight or near a heater
- When you light a candle for the first time, let it burn until the top layer of wax is liquid. This way there are no holes and the candle burns longer overall
- If a candle flickers or burns erratically, trim the wick slightly. The candle wick should always be about 10-15 mm long.
- The situation is different with the wooden wick: A wooden wick that is too short or too long can affect the burning behavior: The wooden wick should always be approx. 5 mm long.
- Candles made from rapeseed wax are 100% natural products. Rapeseed wax is environmentally friendly, vegan and doesn't soot :-) - and candles made from rapeseed wax burn longer than traditional paraffin candles. So-called "frosting" can occur as a side effect. These are small crystals that form on the candle surface as a result of temperature changes. This is completely normal, but it may not always look nice. If the frosting bothers you, you can gently run your finger over the candle and reduce the frosting.
Have fun with your candles 🖤
